Lobuche, Nepal – A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.1 on the Richter scale struck at the Xizang region of China, which is approximately 93 kilometers northeast of Lobuche, Nepal, early this morning. The quake occurred at 6:51 AM local time, causing widespread alarm.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake’s epicenter was located at a depth of 10 kilometers, which contributed to the significant shaking felt across the region. The tremors were reported as far away as Kathmandu and even parts of northern India, including Delhi.
